From The Principal

November, 2017

Welcome back from Thanksgiving break!  We are excited to start the new trimester well rested and energized.

Grades will be coming out at the end of the week.  For the students who earned Honor Roll, forms will be available to allow them to go skiing for a full day in January.  This program is doable thanks to the partnership with Vail Resorts/Heavenly Mountain through the Epic Promise Grant.  They pay for 50 students to go skiing all day on three different days, fully outfitted, and with an instructor.  Stay tuned to the weekly newsletter for more information.  In addition, Honor Roll students will be recognized during advisory with a certificate and bumper sticker.

As we move through this year and towards the state testing in May, we want all students to show growth in their overall academic achievement.  This goal is attainable, but your support and partnership is vital.  Please talk to your kids about school and the importance of working hard and giving their best effort.  That combined with good attendance is very helpful.

We want this year to be a positive one for everyone, so don't hesitate to check in and let us know how the year is going.
